Lisa the wood carver

25th February 2022

Having been born there, Cambridge makes a great base for my chainsaw carving workshop. My workshop is set within my dad’s working yard and nestled into the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside.

Carving is my hobby and my escapism.  Any spare time I have, you will find me with a chainsaw in my hand. I have always been an artist, but I have found that carving from wood gives me the freedom to bring to life anything I can imagine.

Some of my carvings also include some more traditional techniques giving me the freedom to achieve high quality finishes and to experiment with different effects.   There is nothing I love more than creating something new.  This means you will never see the same carving twice.

All the wood I use is locally sourced and is being repurposed after having been cut or blown down.

The fair will be open for 10am to 5pm on the 16th and 17th of July 2022. Tickets are only £15 for adults, £5 kids under 12. Under 5’s come in for free.

Whether you’re a regular visitor to Strumpshaw or this is your first time, you’re in for a surprise!
