Nature-based wellbeing, guidance and support

12th July 2021

Tina Gibbons

Tina is offering nature connection experiences throughout the weekend including guided nature connection meditations, nature based wellbeing discussions and natural mindfulness walks within the grounds.  Visit her stall for details of what’s on.

She is also offering taster flower essence consultations to explore any emotional wellbeing challenges you are facing and create a personal flower essence combination for you to take away. Visit her stall to book, where you will also find more information on flower essences and other nature based wellbeing courses available throughout the year.

Nature Connection & Forest Bathing

We all innately know that spending time in nature is good for us. We feel the benefits, physically, emotionally and spiritually.  The science is also accumulating to back up what we feel, showing that spending time outdoors reduces the stress hormone cortisol, improves immunity, reduces inflammation, improves mood and more.

However, simply spending time outdoors is just the tip of a wealth of wellbeing outcomes possible by reconnecting with the natural world.  The University of Derby and National Trust published research in 2020 showing that nature connectedness has a far greater impact on our wellbeing than simply spending time outdoors… but what is nature connectedness – and how do we go about it?

A nature connection or forest bathing guide, will guide you into experiences in the natural world that help you to quieten your mind, awaken your senses and become fully present with the nature around you. Helping you to feel more connected to the nature around you and more deeply connected to your true nature.

Nature connection & forest bathing can help you to:

  • Build resilience through changing times
  • Bring peace, quiet and calm to a busy mind
  • Soothe the nervous system
  • Experience more joy in life, even when times are tough
  • Create a life of meaning, connection and belonging
