“To me there is far more to spoon carving than just creating the physical object itself – the whole process of handling and carving the freshly cut wood is an interaction between the carver and materials being used, a connection to the woodland itself and the time spent allows a certain level of detachment from the modern world around us; a meditative therapy of sorts.  “Green Woodworking” is a big topic with many disciplines, spoon carving being only a small part of it and likewise hand carved spoons are only part of what I offer...”

The fair will be open for 10am to 5pm on the 16th and 17th of July 2022. Tickets are only £15 for adults, £5 kids under 12. Under 5’s come in for free.

Whether you’re a regular visitor to Strumpshaw or this is your first time, you’re in for a surprise!
